Educate Worthington is a group of local residents who seek to seriously and openly address the critical issue of rapidly escalating school levy demands in Worthington. We hope to help educate community members, district leadership, and the union and its membership, regarding the impact of the district’s spending decisions, before the tax increases have a permanent and negative impact on the residents and businesses in our community.

Our website is non-partisan, as this is not a liberal or conservative issue, it is a Worthington issue. We created the website to provide accurate and relevant information and perspectives, so individuals can fully evaluate this important issue. Additionally, the site will enable you to contact us, to contact the district, to contact local media, and to get slightly (or significantly) involved, if you are so inclined.

We do not seek to oppose levies (for example we did not oppose the bond levy in late 2006), but we do encourage everyone to recognize the long-term importance of making informed decisions about the future of our schools, our children, and our community.

Our goal is to support a long term plan that addresses both the funding and spending sides of the education equation while maintaining the quality that the students and parents deserve.
